President Can't Do Anything Except When He Can

It has been pointed out that under Bush, republicans made the point when gas prices would go up that there was nothing the president could do about it but now they blame Obama because gas prices are too high. Now, if you do not realize the stupidity of the liberal argument made here you are just, well ignorant. It is true a president can do nothing about gas prices if he has done everything possible to ensure an environment where gas prices should be as low as possible to the consumer. Market forces, laws of supply and demand, wars and many other factors are always at play and at time prices increase even when a president does everything possible to ensure the best possible prices to the consumer and the president can do nothing about the cost because he does not set the price, he sets the environment where the oil industry can provide the best possible price to the consumer. When someone now states that Obama is causing high gas prices it is simply stating the obvious, Obama has created an environment where oil companies are prohibited by the president himself from providing the best possible price to the consumer and the president could do a lot of things right now that would bring the cost of gas down dramatically. clarlarc
