Jobless Rate Unknown

Since when can millions of people quit looking for work and the unemployment rate go down? Under those rules the politician with the worst ability to create jobs becomes the one who appears to be creating the most jobs even as the exact opposite is true. Surely a politician came up with this scam. And why count government workers among the employed? There are 20 million government employees whose wealth is derived not through work but by taking ours essentially categorizing them as thieves and since "thief" is not technically a job one could argue they are technically jobless. We need a better way to calculate the unemployment rate such as counting the actual number of people who don't have a job. clarlarc
