Slavery and Freedom  It is important to understand the difference between slavery and freedom. The general definition of enslavement is "forced physical restraint" but I would broaden that definition as follows, "forced physical restraint or bound by a set of rules enforced by the threat of forced physical restraint. Freedom is defined as "free from physical restraint", but if one is free from physical restraint yet unable to do as he wishes because he is bound by rules that ensure his forced physical restraint if he does so, is he free? Rules are designed by man to control men and society would self-destruct with no rules but just as quickly self-destruct with too many. We have far too many rules now and should all work together to purge ourselves of those that are not absolutely necessary.

Why is this so hard to understand?  A concept that about half the people in this country can not seem to grasp is that taxing the rich is the worst thing, economically, you can do to the poor. The rich own the businesses which provide products and the jobs to the poor. If taxes are increased on the rich, the cost of the products they sell to us increase and the number of jobs they are able to provide goes down. To help the poor we must decrease taxes on the rich so their products will cost less and the number of jobs they are able to provide is maximized but there is a reason the political elite will not do this. The political elite always want to take everything possible from the rich man and the poor man alike but it would be unseemly to state honestly that you think the poor should pay a lot more taxes so to avoid revolt the politician has created a class warfare scheme whereby the rich man is the enemy, the poor man the victim and the politician is the solution. The politician makes the rich man pay higher taxes so the poor will supposedly be better off. Somehow, the poor man thinks he is better off even though the rich man's tax increase is paid by the same poor man in the form of increased prices on goods and services. How anyone is fooled by this scam is incomprehensible.
