It has been pointed out that under Bush, republicans made the point when gas prices would go up that there was nothing the president could do about it but now they blame Obama because gas prices are too high. It is true a president can do nothing about gas prices if he has done everything possible to ensure an environment where gas prices should be as low as possible to the consumer. Market forces, laws of supply and demand, wars and many other factors are always at play and at time prices increase even when a president does everything possible to ensure the best possible prices to the consumer and the president can do nothing about the cost because he does not set the price, he sets the environment where the oil industry can provide the best possible price to the consumer. When someone now states that Obama is causing high gas prices it is simply stating the obvious, Obama has created an environment where oil companies are prohibited by the president himself from providing the best possible price to the consumer and the president could do a lot of things right now that would bring the cost of gas down dramatically. clarlarc

That idiot judge that decided to throw out 4 of the 10 commandments reminded me of a Joke. Seems there was a man who showed up for church one Sunday morning and sat in the very back looking somewhat nervous. The preacher's sermon was on the ten commandments that morning and the man seemed intensely interested and sat through the entire service and seemed very content when it was over and went to the preacher and thanked him, telling him his sermon on the ten commandments had really helped him because he had come in to the church that morning only because he had lost his hat and intended to leave early and steal a hat from the hat rack at the back of the church where the men hung their hats but upon hearing the sermon on the ten commandments he changed his mind. The preacher was quite happy at the man's change of heart and asked "was it the commandment about Thou Shalt Not Steal that helped you?" "No" the man said, "it was Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery, when you read that one I remembered where I left my hat." Jobless Rate Unknown

Since when can millions of people quit looking for work and the unemployment rate go down? Under those rules the politician with the worst ability to create jobs becomes the one who appears to be creating the most jobs even as the exact opposite is true. Surely a politician came up with this scam. And why count government workers among the employed? There are 20 million government employees whose wealth is derived not through work but by taking ours essentially categorizing them as thieves and since "thief" is not technically a job one could argue they are technically jobless. News stories are now reporting employers are planning on putting all workers on Obamacare. Apparently they made the calculation that taking away the benefit of employee health insurance which costs them $4,000 per person yearly costs them twice as much as not providing health insurance and paying a $2,000 per person fine under the new law. How this could possibly be news to anyone other than the major news organizations is anyone's guess. Just pray the Supreme Court strikes this idiotic law down. clarlarc
