Jimmy Carter? Really?

What the heck? The democrats just announced Jimmy Carter will be speaking at the democrat convention. They have tried to make us forget that Carter ever existed all this time while republicans have successfully used him as their, "Here's your typical democrat" poster child, so successfully I might add, that the words Jimmy Carter and FAILURE have become synonymous in the minds of all. The republicans all this time have been playing their "never forget" strategy even as the democrats play their "please forget" strategy and the world has made sense until now. Now he's being proudly marched out as if he is not the idiot of the democrat party but a respected and distinguished member, nothing makes sense any more. Was absolutely no one else available or was this simple stupidity or desperation? Either way, this should make the spectacle more entertaining for the pathetic few who intend to watch this freak show. cjpost
