IRS Don't Ask Me, I Won't Tell You Policy Related To Rope Shortage

It now appears to be the case that those we hire to take our money can do as they wish in that process, legal or not, without consequence or recourse. Further, it is blatantly obvious they have decided they are above the law and answerable to no one. They believe they have the right to "not answer questions" when asked by those we elected to represent us and ensure our fair treatment and so they don't and nothing happens. I realize that expecting one to feel a duty to truthfully answer any and all questions from those who pay one's salary has obviously become a foreign concept among government workers and agencies but still one would expect more even from those we expect so little. Information that would otherwise lead to some answers on matters at hand has mysteriously disappeared in a darn computer hard drive crash that seems to have erased the memories of both human and machine alike. It would seem the IRS is drastically in need of new computers and a code of ethics book for each agent written by someone other than the typical democrat. Meanwhile, these same friendly tax collectors deny us the same right they seem to think they have to withhold information and continue to vigorously punish any that are unable to provide any information it requests. The president who has caused or allowed this to happen along with a myriad of other such scandals seems to have added this one to his "phony scandal" list and will offer nothing other than roadblocks to our pursuit of truth in this manner. I am not sure where all this goes but I am reminded of the old saying "give a man enough rope and he will hang himself." I would say they have been given, or taken, a massive pile of rope in amounts not seen outside a third world dictatorship so I suppose we have quite a spectacle to look forward to in the not too distant future. cjpost
