Things Are Not Always As They Appear

Gas prices have doubled under President O. This has been by design but not for the reason you would suspect. The notion that liberals secretly want energy costs to become unbearable so all will switch to windmills and solar power is non-sense, no one, even liberals can be so stupid to think this is even a remote possibility with current technology. By increasing the cost of gasoline the state ensures massive profits to oil companies which the State massively taxes and steals a large portion of the money they need to shift from private sector to public sector interests. The more money they are able to force you to pay for a product the more they (the state) can take from you through the middle man, in this case, oil companies. When one considers that liberals impose massive taxes and regulations on businesses with the full knowledge that these businesses pass these costs on to the consumer it becomes clear that it is in the liberals interest to drive these costs as high as possible through higher taxes and more regulation which the liberal succeeds in convincing the simpletons among us is a good thing through an obvious campaign of character destruction of others for personal gain. clarlarc

Some Teach, Some Do

Like that commercial where the narrator says "you wouldn't want your doctor doing your job" while showing a doctor with a jack hammer drilling into a water main, Obama should not put college professors in charge of our country. His cabinet is made up exclusively with individuals hand picked from academic circles. Energy secretary Chu is probably an extremely smart man and I would have little doubt that as a professor he is probably excellent. But, college professors by design do not live in the real world, they teach us and make us think, not just in conventional but unconventional terms. This is one of the great things about academia, it makes one think outside the box and explore possibilities that would otherwise go unexplored. Professors and teachers are ill-equipped to manage anything in the real world and almost sure to make a mess of things which is why no business would hire one to run any aspect of its operations. The federal government is different, Obama seems to think that a professor can pick and choose which energy policies to force the rest of us to adopt while conservatives pick leaders in industry with real world, hands-on, experience and a proven track record of successful results. clarlarc

A Tax Deduction Is Not A Subsidy

Oil companies receive no subsidies from the government and liberals should stop telling this lie immediately. Oil Companies take advantage of the same tax deductions all businesses do and the president and his group of liars use the term "subsidy" instead of "deduction" for oil companies only. Oil companies are heavily over-taxed and even with the deductions (known to liberals as subsidies) they still pay an effective tax rate of 41%, much higher that most companies. Someone taking 41% of the earnings of an enormous industry should act grateful, not resentful that they are not allowed to take more. What do you think would happen to the cost of gasoline if the deduction (known to liberals as subsidy) was removed from oil companies? I'll offer a hint, when you increase production costs the end product A-costs more or B-costs less. clarlarc

Futures Market Liberal Hypocrisy

You know, when Hillary played the cattle futures market and turned a thousand dollar investment into one hundred thousand dollars in 10 months time, no one complained about the futures market, nor despite smoking guns lying everywhere saw nothing illegal or unethical. Surely the price of beef was manipulated to higher prices by speculators, which Hillary was, for purpose of personal profit. The futures market is a good thing when it benefits the liberal but when things happen that make the liberal look bad and the futures market, or any element of the private sector for that matter, are involved, then the liberal without fail blames the futures market or private sector in some way in a pathetic attempt to avoid any blame for the problems he created. clarlarc

Yes You Can Drill Your Way To Lower Gas Prices

As long as people are stupid enough to believe you can not drill your way to lower oil prices we will continue to pay through the nose for it. The no new drilling idiots actually believe futures markets players will continue to high bid each other on an ever increasing supply while the exact opposite is true. Show them a future of excess supply and signal that the flow from foreign sources will be protected at all costs and you will see a short-selling frenzy and $1.00 a gallon gasoline overnight. clarlarc

Why Believe The Same People Now?

We can not possibly believe intelligence assessments concluding Iran is going to have a nuclear bomb soon. Bush believed the same intelligence agencies when they said Saddam had WMDs and liberals claimed Bush lied because he should have somehow known intelligence agencies have no clue as to who has what. The fact that Saddam had ample time to destroy or move his WMDs into Syria does not prevent a liberal from drawing his on conclusion to suit his purpose. But if they claim intelligence assessments were wrong then, what makes them think they are right now? clarlarc

Don't Blame Speculators

Speculators do not drive the price of oil up, this is non-sense. Politicians drive the price of oil up with their stupid behavior. Speculators play a vital role by looking out into the future and letting us know the likely future the politicians are creating. If there are factors which conclude there will be shortages or cost increases, speculators pay more and we pay more. This allows us to adjust our behavior in advance of the actual event which works to our advantage providing a cushioning effect as prices tend to rise more slowly rather than a sudden increase with no warning. clarlarc

Looks like if you have a solar power manufacturing company or probably any "green business" and Obama and Biden show up on your door step with a suit case full of billions of dollars offering free money it is the kiss of death and you might as well put the "Business Closed" sign on the front door and not take the money. These two dim-wits remind me of that cat that lived in the nursing home that somehow knew when someone was about to die because if it came to your room and hung around a while, without fail in a day or two, you would be dead. Likewise Obama/Biden have this almost eerie sixth sense for picking companies they believe to be fantastic investments but in reality are about to die and when this dynamic democrat dream team show up to help, you're probably dead already. Apology Clarification Might Be Worse Than Apology

Obama apologized for our troops accidently burning a few books. Everyone seems to be arguing whether it was a good idea or not. This is silly, psychotic serial killers do not care what you do, they plan to kill you either way. Then when asked why he did it he stated it was to reduce violence against our troops. Say What? Really, this must be the most stupid thing one could say. Imagine your pathetic reasoning led you to really believe an apology would actually work to cause someone to stop hurting you, then in front of God and everyone you announced you issued the apology not because you were sorry for what you had done but to cause your enemy to calm down. There Are Two Kinds Of Rich People

Republicans only want to help the rich man and don't care about the poor. If you do not believe this I would be very surprised as everyone has told you this all your life except for an eccentric group of nut jobs called conservatives which you have been warned to stay away from. The actual truth is somewhat different. Both Republicans and Democrats are put in office and serve the interests of the Rich but there are two kinds of rich people. Liberals Have No Clue About Religion

The problem Obama has stirred up with the Catholic Church is emblematic of a problem within the liberal psyche greater than appears obvious. Most Catholics have used or currently use birth control and liberals conclude forcing it upon them and everyone else should have been easy. That would be true if you had never submitted your will to God where you would have found out very quickly that you had embarked on a spiritual war pitting the world, the flesh and the devil against you. You would find yourself struggling and probably failing daily to live according to the expectations of the law of the creator as defined by your church and would never assume God's Law should be changed whether you followed all of it or not. You would struggle to find a way to follow it or convince yourself that God would forgive you but you do not want God's Law changed and you would definitely not want the State to tell the Church to go against God's law.
