Obama was asked by some clueless rich person at a town hall meeting the other day if he would "please raise his taxes." This is not surprising as these events are packed with like-minded democrats and democrats always want to raise taxes, it's rare, however, to find one who wants to pay them himself. Since this man is clueless and does not realize that neither he, nor any other rich person, pays any taxes but sell things to others and recover their costs, including taxes, as part of their selling price I would tell this man that those of us in the real world have found everything the rich are selling these days costs too much now and a tax increase on you means even higher prices so if you really want to help us please ask the president for a tax cut next time. clarlarc
A recent post at The Daily Caller calls attention to the sad fact that basic economics and efficiency is not the government's strong point. It is hard to believe the government would waste such a massive sum of money yearly to pay dead federal employees salaries but on the other hand when they are alive they do silly things such as paying the dead so our money is wasted whether we pay their salaries in this life or the next one. clarlarc
What is the Matrix? In the movie it was the artificial world created by the machines so their parasitic existence would go unnoticed by their human hosts. In our real world a similar control mechanism has been created by a parasitic bureaucracy to control us not by computer code but by a Tax Code. The Tax Code was devised by bureaucrats as a way to control us and empower themselves. With the ability to write into law ways to take our money as well as granting approval of accepted behavior man may exercise to reduce his liability bureaucrats manipulate our behavior. The tax code also allows bureaucrats to extract favors from man in the form of money or continued support from those who choose to lobby for some tax advantage and if they give the bureaucrat what he wants they get what they want. Adopting the National Sales Tax to replace all other taxes would give man the freedom he deserves but you can be sure bureaucrats will never let that happen. The Tax Code is an extreme evil on mankind but to the bureaucrat it is their favorite drug. clarlarc
When liberals take away from the church the job of charity and judge of good and bad and transfer it to themselves they have essentially become the "new church" and quickly forget the reason separation of church and state is such an important concept. clarlarc
If Obama had any answers we would have heard them by now, his speech will just be another liberal wish list of failed socialist policies that seem good to the minds of the elite intellectual crowd that are like an infection to common sense. The simpletons among us will like his speech as well as they have become parasites dependent on the state for their every need and welcome anything said by their master. I would like to apologize on behalf of the Tea Party. We should have realized that calling for a responsible government living within its means acting in compliance with the constitution would clearly be mistaken by some minorities as our way of saying we would like to hang them from trees. clarlarc
